What is an office pool?
An office pool is a friendly competition built around a league’s schedule. Each week every player makes their picks; when the games finish, everyone earns points based on how many they got right. It is the low-key ritual that keeps a group talking — and running it online means no one has to be the human calculator.
Most groups start with an office football pool, because the NFL’s once-a-week schedule is a natural fit and everyone already has an opinion about Sunday. But nothing about the format is football-only. Formats: how your pool plays

Pick’em pool: the classic. Pick the winner of each game — straight-up or against the spread. Simplest to explain, easiest to join.
Confidence pool: pick winners and rank each pick by how confident you are. Your best lock is worth the most points, so strategy matters every week.
Survivor (knockout) pool: pick one team to win each week, never reuse a team, and you are out the moment your pick loses. Last player standing takes the pot.
Reverse survivor: the same knockout structure flipped — pick a team you think will lose, and you survive by being right about the loser.
Single pick: one pick per week, no elimination. The lowest-commitment format there is, and a good way to pull in the people who never fill out a full sheet.

The format is how your pool plays. The league is what it plays on — and the two are set independently. How much does it cost?
It is free for up to four players, so a small group can run a full season at no cost. Beyond that, pricing scales with your pool: about $3 per additional player over the free 4, dropping to $2 and then $1 per player as your pool grows, billed annually.
